This study investigates the influence of home and school factors on value orientation among secondary school students in Awka North Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, Nigeria. Using a mixed-methods design, data were collected from 300 participants (150 students, 100 teachers, 50 parents) at Community Secondary School, Mgbakwu. Instruments included the Value Orientation Inventory (VOI), Home Environment Questionnaire (HEQ), and School Climate Scale (SCS). Multiple regression analysis identified parental involvement (B = 0.25, p < 0.01), family structure (B = 0.18, p < 0.05), teacher support (B = 0.30, p < 0.01), and school climate (B = 0.22, p < 0.05) as significant predictors of value orientation. Qualitative findings underscored the role of societal values and parent-teacher collaboration in shaping students’ values. The study recommends value-based education programs, curriculum reviews, and enhanced parent-teacher partnerships to foster positive value orientation
